We have a line y = 1/3x -6

We want a line that is perpendicular to this line

Perpendicular lines have slopes that multiply to -1

1/3 * m = -1

3 * 1/3 *m = -1 * 3

m = -3

The slope of the perpendicular line is -3

y = mx+b where m is the slope and b is the y intercept

y = -3x+b

We have a point on the line ( 7 ,-23)

Substitute this point into the equation

-23 = -3(7)+b

-23 = -21+b

Add 21 to each side

-23+21 = -21+21+b

-2 = b

y = -3x-2

In slope intercept form, the line perpendicular passing through (7,-23) is

y = -3x-2

The length of a rectangle is twice its width. The perimeter of the rectangle is 36 cm. Calculate the area of the rectangle
Pie
Length = 2(width)
perimeter = 36 cm

using variables where x = width and y = length

Perimeter = 2x + 2y = 36 cm
y = 2x

solving for length 2x + 2(2x) = 36 cm
                             2x + 4x = 36 cm
                             6x = 36 cm
                               x = 6 cm

                          so y = 2(6 cm) = 12 cm

area of rectangle = 12 cm * 6 cm = 72 cm^2

Lera25 [3.4K]

The equivalent value of 33% expressed in a ratio, fraction, and decimal is 33 : 100, 33/100 and 0.33 respectively

Ratio, Fraction and decimal

33%

In ratio:

33%

= 33 / 100

= 33 : 100

In fraction:

33%

= 33/100

In decimal:

33%

= 33/100

= 0.33

Therefore, the equivalent value of 33% expressed in a ratio, fraction, and decimal is 33 : 100, 33/100 and 0.33 respectively
