Repression is the protection mechanism that stops unacceptable minds, emotions, and urges from attaining attention.

Repression is a kind of maintaining back or maintaining down. there's repression of emotions (willing yourself not to cry), as well as social repression (where the authorities limit freedom or shut out certain groups). Repression is like suppression: you restrain, inhibit, or subdue something.

Repression is regularly harassed with suppression, some other form of defense mechanism. in which repression involves unconsciously blocking unwanted thoughts or impulses, suppression is entirely voluntary. particularly, suppression is deliberately seeking to overlook or no longer consider painful or unwanted mind. the exclusion of distressing memories, thoughts, or emotions from the aware thoughts. often regarding competitive urges or painful childhood memories, these unwanted intellectual contents are pushed into the unconscious mind.

Examples of Repression: A child suffers abuse by way of a figure, represses the recollections and becomes absolutely blind to them as a younger person. A person suffers an unpleasant spider chunk as a child and develops an extreme phobia of spiders later in life without any recollection of the revel as a baby.

How is global perspectives related to Urbanisation
Kruka [31]

Answer:

Abstract

Much of the literature about globalization exaggerates the degree of novelty. In this review, we concentrate on claims about what has changed about cities under late capitalism and globalization. Although we suggest that cities have long been influenced by global forces, we conclude that the roles of cities in the global system have changed considerably as a result of the time-space compression made possible by new transportation, communication, and organizational technologies. After discussing what the global perspective means within anthropology, and how it affects urban anthropological research, our review concentrates on three complex issues. First is whether the global factory and increasing knowledge-intensivity have decreased or increased the utility of the intermediary or brokerage roles that cities play. Second, we examine changes in how people live in globalizing cities. Third, we consider the implications of the construction and maintenance of relationships across borders for processes of citizenship, affiliation, and transnational social movements.
