The measure of  given arc of circle 2.4 radians in degrees is 137.57.

According to the given question.

Arc of a circle = 2.4 radians

We have to fin dthe arc of the circle in degrees.

As,

π radians = 180 degrees

⇒1 radians = 180/π

So, to convert the radians to degrees we have to multiply the given quantity with 180/π.

Therefore, the measure of given arc of circle 2.4 radians in degrees is given by

2.4 × 180/π

= 2.4 × 180/3.14

= 0.76 × 180

= 137.57 degrees

Hence, the measure of  given arc of circle 2.4 radians in degrees is 137.57.

The sum of two numbers is 240. If one number is twice the other number, find the two numbers.
Deffense [45]

Answer:

The sum of two numbers is 240. The larger number is 6 less than twice the smaller. Find the numbers.

----------

Let the smaller be "x" ; Larger is "2x-6"

EQUATION:

x + 2x-6 = 240

3x= 246

x = 82 (smaller)

2x-6 = 158 (larger)

Suppose sin(A) = 1/4. use the trig identity sin^2(A)+cos^2(A)=1 to find cos(A) in quadrant II. around to ten-thousandth.
larisa86 [58]

In quadrant II, \cos(A) will be negative. So

\sin^2(A) + \cos^2(A) = 1 \implies \cos(A) = -\sqrt{1 - \sin^2(A)} = -\dfrac{\sqrt{15}}4 \approx \boxed{-0.9682}
