Increase; decrease

Punishment can be used in a positive or negative way, just like reinforcement. Any reinforcer, whether positive or negative, makes a behavioral response more likely. Positive or negative punishments both reduce the chance of a behavioral response.

What is Reinforcement?

Reinforcement is a technique used in behavioral psychology to strengthen an organism's future behavior whenever that behavior is preceded by a certain antecedent stimulus.

This strengthening effect may be quantified as increased behavior (e.g., drawing a lever more frequently), increased duration (e.g., pushing a lever for an extended period of time), increased magnitude (e.g., pulling a lever more firmly), or decreased latency (e.g., pulling a lever more quickly following the antecedent stimulus).

Self awareness, self reflection, and self regulation are the three key tenets of the self-regulatory paradigm of human behavior.

Traditionally, reinforcements support self-regulation.

Although the result may have an impact on the behavior, behavior also need antecedents.Four different types of reinforcement exist.

Positive and negative reinforcement punishment, extinction, and reinforcemen. The use of a positive reinforcer is known as positive reinforcement. In order to encourage the antecedent behavior from the subject, negative reinforcement is the practice of removing anything undesirable from the subject's environment.

Viefleur [7K]

The correct answer would be Aesthetic Modification.

In repositioning the product, Coca Cola changed the taste of the product. It also changed the look of the product with a larger can size and different colors. This is an example of an Aesthetic Modification.

Explanation:

Repositioning is the process of placing something in a different place. Aesthetic Modification is a part of repositioning.

Aesthetics are basically concerned with the beauty or anything related to beauty, like appreciating or enhancing it.

Now Aesthetic Modification is a strategy in marketing in which the aesthetics of a product are changed by the company to reposition it. Aesthetic modification is the changes in the taste, texture, sound, smell, or appearance of the product.

So when Coca Cola changed the taste, size and color of the can, and the overall look of the product, it means Coca Cola did Aesthetic Modification.

A clinical psychologist wants to test a treatment to reduce the self-injury behavior of an autistic child. She faces an ethical
AfilCa [17]

Answer:

Case study

Explanation:

A case study is a kind of study used in social sciences in which the researcher observes an individual/group/event in a very in-depth manner. Case studies give a lot of information about the person or group who is being studied and let the researcher make causal inferences (because of the in-depth observation) and the researcher gets a better understanding of the situation.

In this question, the psychologist faces an ethical dilemma of needing to remove a potentially beneficial treatment. However, using a case study, she wouldn't need to do so because she could observe the autistic child in his environment without changing it, because the case study is an observing explanatory study. Therefore, the ethical dilemma would be eliminated and she could draw conclusions from the study.
