What is the process in which species evolve in response to changes in each other?
lara [203]
I believe it is behavioural isolation. When there are changes within a certain species, e.g. new birdcalls are formed in certain individuals in a species, "traditional" birds may not like such mating calls and only choose to mate with the more common birdcalls from majority of the birds. There are also some birds that may like the new birdcalls, and choose to mate with birds with those birdcalls. They become genetically isolated as they continue such behavior. Eventually, through genetic drift and other mutations, different species form from a single specie.

Hope this helps! :)

What phase of mitotic interphase is missing from meiotic interkinesis?
Anarel [89]

Answer:

S phase.

Explanation:

Meiotic interkinesis may be defined as the phase of cell resting and enters in the meiotic phase. The process of replication does not occur and this process is not a true interphase.

The cells that enter during the mitotic interphase does not undergo the synthesis or S phase. The chromosomes have two chromatids at this stage of interkinesis.

Thus, the correct answer is option (3).

In negative geotropism of shoots, auxin is redistributed to the ______ side of the cell, where the amyloplasts have accumulated,
Otrada [13]

Answer:

a. Lower

b. Stimulates

In negative geotropism of shoots, auxin is redistributed to the lower side of the cell, where the amyloplasts have accumulated, where it stimulates cell elongation.

Explanation:

Geotropism can be defined as the direction the various parts of a plant grows toward due to the stimulus which in this case is the force of gravity. Geotropism in plants can be negative or positive.

Negative geotropism occurs when the shoots of a plant grows upwards against the force of gravity.
