The probability that the chosen number is not a perfect square is 43/50.

The probability that the chosen number is not a multiple of 4 is 38/50.

The probability that the chosen number is more than 45 is 5/50.

The probability that the chosen number is not more than 45 is 5/50

The set of the whole numbers is {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, .................., 50}

We have to calculate the probability that the chosen number is the  following:

1. is not a perfect square

2. is not a multiple of 4

3. is more than 45

Probability is the number of getting a required event out of a total number of possible events.

Probability of an event = Number of required events / Total number of events.

Total number of numbers in the given set {1,2,3,4, .........,50} is 50.

Let the number chosen at random be  X.

In the given set {1,2,3,4, ............,50}.

The set of numbers which is not  a perfect square is {2,3,5,6,7,8,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,23,24,26,27,28,29,30,31,32,33,34,35,36,37,38,39,40,41,42,43,44,45,46,47,48,49,50}

X = 43

P(X) = 43 / 50

The set of numbers which is not a multiple of 4 is {1,2,3,5,6,7,9,10,11,13,14,15,17,18,19,21,22,23,25,26,27,29,30,31,33,34,35,37,38,39,41,42,43,45,46,47,49,50}

X = 38

P(X) = 38 / 50

The set of numbers which is more than 45 is {46,47,48,49,50}

X = 5

P(X) = 5 / 50

The set of numbers that is not more than 45 is {1,2,3,4,.............44,45}

X = 45

P(X) = 45 / 50

Thus,

The probability that the chosen number is not a perfect square is 43/50.

The probability that the chosen number is not a multiple of 4 is 38/50.

The probability that the chosen number is more than 45 is 5/50.

The probability that the chosen number is not more than 45 is 5/50.
