Okay, this may seem complex for some but its actually is simple!

However, we will have to use double fractions which a lot of people dont like

So we have (8/5)/24 for our units.  However, we need to find 2 miles.  8/5 is a bit confusing and hard to represent if we are converting to integers.

But, theres a trick.  We need 2 miles so we can actually make 2 = 10/5.

We now have (8/5)/24 = (10/5)/x

Using cross-multiplication, we can solve for x!

Hope this helps

In the year 2019, Lee County used approximately 55 million gallons of water. Historical trends show that each year the water dem
Harlamova29_29 [7]

Answer:

Approximately 62 gallons of water will be used by Lee County by the year 2025.

Step-by-step explanation:

The amount, in millions gallons of water, spent by Lee County, in t years after 2019, is given by the following equation:

P(t) = P(0)(1 + r)^{t}

In which P(0) is the amount spent on 2019 and r is the increse rate, as a decimal.

In the year 2019, Lee County used approximately 55 million gallons of water.

This means that P(0) = 55

Historical trends show that each year the water demand is increasing by a rate of approximately 2.1%.

This means that r = 0.021

So

P(t) = P(0)(1 + r)^{t}

P(t) = 55(1 + 0.021)^{t}

P(t) = 55(1.021)^{t}

Approximately how many million gallons of water will be used by Lee County by the year 2025?

2025 is 2025 - 2019 = 6 years after 2019. So this is P(6).

P(t) = 55(1.021)^{t}

P(6) = 55(1.021)^{6}

P(6) = 62.3

Rounded to the nearest millions

Approximately 62 gallons of water will be used by Lee County by the year 2025.

If AB=2(x+1) BC=3x+1 and AC=4(x+2) then find the value for x,AB,BC and AC
taurus [48]

Givens

AB + BC = AC

AB = 2(x + 1)

BC = 3x + 1

AC = 4(x + 2)

Substitute and Solve

AB + BC = AC

2(x + 1) + 3x + 1 = 4(x + 2)     Remove the brackets on the left

2x + 2 + 3x + 1 = 4(x + 2)      Collect the like terms on the left

5x + 3  = 4(x + 2)                  Remove the brackets on the right.

5x + 3 = 4x + 8                     Subtract 4x from both sides.

5x - 4x + 3 = 8

x + 3 = 8                               Subtract 3 from both sides

x =8 - 3

x = 5

Answers

AB=2(5 + 1) = 2 * 6 = 12

BC = 3x + 1 = 3*5 + 1 = 15 + 1 = 16

AC = 4(5 + 2) = 4*7 = 28
