List the different types of processes mentioned in the animation and explain whether it an example of weathering, erosion, or de

position. Describe how and where each type of weathering, erosion, or deposition occurs. Explain what an outwash plain is and what types of materials are deposited there? Where did they originally come from?

Weathering is the process that changes solid rock into sediments. With weathering, rock is disintegrated into smaller pieces. Once these sediments are separated from the rocks, erosion is the process that moves the sediments away from it's original position. The four forces of erosion are water, wind, glaciers, and gravity. Water is responsible for most erosion. Water can move most sizes of sediments, depending on the strength of the force.

mechanical weathering, also called physical weathering, breaks rock into smaller pieces. These smaller pieces are just like the bigger rock, just smaller. That means the rock has changed physically without changing its composition. The smaller pieces have the same minerals, in just the same proportions as the original rock.

Weathering rates depend on several factors. These include the composition of the rock and the minerals it contains as well as the climate of a region. Different rock types weather at different rates. Certain types of rock are very resistant to weathering. Igneous rocks, especially intrusive igneous rocks such as granite, weather slowly because it is hard for water to penetrate them. Other types of rock, such as limestone, are easily weathered because they dissolve in weak acids.

Rocks that resist weathering remain at the surface and form ridges or hills. Devil’s Tower in Wyoming is an igneous rock from beneath a volcano. As the surrounding less resistant rocks were worn away, the resistant center of the volcano remained behind.

How we can enhance the protein flexibility for better functioning of protein? What are the effects of protein inflexibility?
tatyana61 [14]

Answer:

Proteins are dynamic entities, and they possess an inherent flexibility that allows them to function through molecular interactions within the cell, among cells and even between organisms. Appreciation of the non-static nature of proteins is emerging, but to describe and incorporate this into an intuitive perception of protein function is challenging. Flexibility is of overwhelming importance for protein function, and the changes in protein structure during interactions with binding partners can be dramatic. The present review addresses protein flexibility, focusing on protein-ligand interactions. The thermodynamics involved are reviewed, and examples of structure-function studies involving experimentally determined flexibility descriptions are presented. While much remains to be understood about protein flexibility, it is clear that it is encoded within their amino acid sequence and should be viewed as an integral part of their structure.

Two children attend the same preschool, but one child is at the facility on Mondays and Wednesday, while the other child attends
bezimeni [28]

Answer:

Fomite transmission.

Explanation:

This is a form of indirect transmission. This type of transmission occurs when inanimate object are involved in the indirect transfer of the pathogens to an uninfected host.

The inanimate object is often referred to as fomites.

In this example, the facilities in the daycare would be the fomites involved in the indirect transfer of the pathogen from one child to the other child.

In case of a Natural Disaster, taking the desition about who must receive the benefits of a donation is: a. A Dilemma of Justice
4vir4ik [10]

In case of a Natural Disaster, taking the decision about who must receive the benefits of a donation is "a locus of authority".

<u>Option:</u> D

<u>Explanation:</u>

A locus of authority arises when questions are raised about who is accountable or under which jurisdiction anything falls. In the scenario of some health, law or environmental (natural disaster) emergency the central or state governments are responsible for releasing funds to rescue the region by providing basic needs like food, medical aids, etc.

This phase is very important for the head of nation because allocating fund is easy but in right hands is trick, so the authority to whom fund is handover for further processing via right channel and to targeted audience is uttermost priority, also in time.

Whiteflies are common pest insects found on cotton, tomato, poinsettia, and many other plants. Nymphs are translucent and mostly
Vlada [557]

The hypothesis devised in this study by the researcher is –

" White fly nymphs escape predation because of their translucent bodies."

In order to test this hypothesis, the researcher is required to conduct an experiment where two sets of white fly nymphs are formed and fed to their predators. The two set of subjects would be -

Set I – White fly nymphs with translucent bodies

Set II- White fly nymphs with translucent bodies coated with harmless dyes.

The number of predated flies in each set can be compared to deduce justification for assumed hypothesis.

Hence, option B is correct
