In the last passage, it demonstrates the diverse perspective of both mindsets. When the development mentality comes up short, they tend to discover approaches to strategize. They tend to discover better approaches to study. The settled mentality thinks more about getting decent evaluations at that point. This just backings a settled attitude loses intrigue once the work turns out to be too hard for them.

After watching Patrick and Sarah, compare how they react to their reflections in the mirrors. Does either seem to recognize him/
coldgirl [10]

Answer:

Patrick seems not to recognize himself by looking at himself in the mirror, however, Sarah can. Sarah was able to recognize herse, reach up and was able to get rid of the rouge on her nose. Sarah recognizes herself and have an idea of what she expects herself to look like. Sarah is 9 months older and due to this, she has had experience with care givers and have also had an interaction with her environment that enables her to have such unique character. Infants learn from caregivers because they are capable of letting them know their identity and uniqueness.

Explanation:

Patrick apparently tends to see the image in the mirror and tries to make an effort to touch or reach out to it, however he does not reach up to put away the rouge from his nose. To be candid, there is not anything about his behavior that tells us that he certainly recognizes himself. We can imply that Patrick probably didn't touch himself because he felt it was another child. Sarah seems to gaze at her reflection which is unlike Patrick. She pays attention to her fingers and then getss up to rub the red spot on her nose. Clearly, Sarah's behavior indicates that she recognizes herself and that what she sees in the mirror is not what she expects. Being nine months older than Patrick, Sarah has had a ton of experiences with caregivers and objects in the environment that call attention to her own uniqueness. Take cognizance of some examples of varying circumstances between infant and caregiver that a person might be capable of teaching the infant about his or her identity and uniqueness.

notsponge [240]

Answer:Active listening is the act of concentrating to what is being said with all your senses and not just passively hearing the speaker's message.

Adapting the techniques of active speaking to public speaking situation.

Firstly, one of the technique of an active listener Is paying attention.Paying attention entails focusing on the speaker's message with all sensory organs.By so doing, the countenance and gesture of the speaker will pass a message to the listener. This promotes effective communication by enabling the listener give an effe rice response. This technique can enhance public speaking because a good speaker must be able to provide an effective response to the listeners.

Withholding judgement is another technique of active listening that can be adapted into public speaking. It requires a listener to have an open mind to the ideas of the speaker.A good speaker must have an open mind to his audience. His messages should not be biased.

Another good technique of an active listener is reflecting the speaker's message.Dont assume the message,if the message is unclear, ask questions to erase any assumption.A good speaker should pass his message in clear terms. He should not assume his audience understands the message.

Also,an active listener should be able to summerize the speaker's message without missing any key point. In this regard,a good speaker must be able to summerize his speech by briefly talking about the content of the message.

Lastly,an active listener must be able to share the message of the speaker in clear terms to other people .This technique will make a public speaker learn how to communicate effectively to the listeners what he has learnt over time.
