The Basque Conflict was an internal conflict between the Basque organization known as Euskadi Ta Askatasuna (ETA) and the Government of Spain. ETA supposedly represented the desire of the people from the Basque Region, which sought the independence of their territory from Spain and France.
ETA was considered as a "terrorist organization" by the Spanish, French, British, and American authorities, due to the aggressive style of their actions, which included bombings that led to deaths of civilians.
