15 people, each want 2 hamburgers, so there will be 15*2 = 30 hamburgers.

However, we only want the plain hamburgers.

3 people want hamburgers with cheese: 30-3 = 27 plain hamburgers

2 people want hamburgers with mustard: 27-2 = 25 plain hamburgers

2 people want hamburgers with catsup: 25-2 = 23 plain hamburgers

Jim and his dad will make 23 plain hamburgers.

Hope this helps!! Let me know if you have ANY questions.

The string of a kite is 100 meters long and it makes an angle of 60° with the ground. What is the height of the kite?
Naddika [18.5K]

Answer:

  50√3 ≈ 86.6 m

Step-by-step explanation:

The geometry can be modeled by a right triangle with the height of the kite being the leg opposite the 60° angle. The hypotenuse has the given length of 100 m.

The mnemonic SOH CAH TOA reminds you that the relation between angles and the sides of interest here is ...

  Sin = Opposite/Hypotenuse

  sin(60°) = (kite height)/(100 m)

  kite height = (100 m)·sin(60°) = (100 m)(√3)/2

  kite height = 50√3 m ≈ 86.6 m

Salsk061 [2.6K]

Let's put all of these into percent form.

P(Guilty) = 0.25 = 25%

P(Innocent) = 55%

P(Retrial) = 1/5 = 0.2 = 20%

Next, we need to order them from least to most likely. The least likely event to occur would be the smallest percent, then the next smallest, etc.

Order: Retrial, Guilty, Innocent

Hope this helps! :)
