There were several different causes that resulted in American becoming an industrial nation. One of the most significant ones was the Industrial Revolution. This time period resulted in the creation of new machines and new means of transportation that helped in mass producing goods for US citizens. The development of textile mills and the spinning jenny resulted in the increased production of goods in American society. This was just the beginning, as new concepts, inventions, and machines would help to make America fully industrialized, leaving behind the era of a nation based on farming.
