Hi there. I'll be answering both questions on in the screenshot as I can make both of them out.

For 18.)
The coordinates on a graph are determined by the function "(x,y)", which are values based on the x-axis and y-axis on the graph.
The horizontal line, or the one that goes left to right, is the x-axis, while the vertical line, or the one that goes up and down, is the y-axis.

As we can see in the graph, the point lies on the x-value of 5, and meets up with the y-value of 7; therefore, the coordinates for the point are C.) (5,7)

For 19.)
The Millers drove 150 miles in 3 hours. To determine how long it takes for them to drive 400 miles, we need to find a scale factor. Simply divide 150 by 3 to get how many miles per hour on average they are going.
150 / 3 = 50; divide 400 by 50 to determine how many hours it takes.
400 / 50 = 8

It took the Millers B.) 8 hours to drive 400 miles.

I hope this helps!

C. (5,7) is the correct answer for this problem. First you look at the x axis (across) then the y axis (up and down).

Need help with this question. I tried simplifying the radical, but apparently it’s not the answer
sesenic [268]

Answer:

-1/5+(√3)/20i   or   -0.2+0.05√3i

Step-by-step explanation:

  \dfrac{-8+\sqrt{-12}}{40}=-\dfrac{8}{40}+\dfrac{2\sqrt{3}i}{40}=\boxed{-\dfrac{1}{5}+\dfrac{1}{20}\sqrt{3}\,i=-0.2+0.05\sqrt{3}\,i}

_____

<em>Comment on answer form</em>

Satisfying the input format requirements of a computer is always problematic. One never knows if fractions or decimals are preferred, whether radicals must be simplified, and so on. If no clues are offered by general instructions, other questions, or previous experience, then it might be useful to consult your instructor.
