she will have a total balance of $844.26. Using the rule of 72, mc010-1.jpg how many more years will it be before Jala’s $600 doubles in value? Round to the nearest tenth.

To find the number of years an initial capital will double, we use the following approximation:

Number of years needed to double a capital = 70/interest rate (without the %)
The rate being 5,  Number of years = 70/5 = 14 years,

Proof: (Remember te formula of compound interest A = P(1+interset)ⁿ

1200 = 600(1+5%)ⁿ
1200/600 = (1.05)ⁿ
2= (1.05)ⁿ
ln(2) = (n)ln(1.05)
0.693147181 = (n)(0.048790164)

n= 0.693147181/0.048790164
n= 14.26 years ≈ 14 years

Eric is designing a logo for his company. The logo is a rectangle with a length twice as long as the width. The logo is designed
Vladimir79 [104]

Answer:

The width of the logo need to be 15 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the logo is a rectangle, it's area is given by the product of the width and the length.

Area = width*length

Since the width is an unkown value we will call it "x" and the length is twice the width so it'll be "2*x". The area of the logo is:

Area = x*(2*x) = 2*x²

In order to have a patch that is 450 cm² we need:

2*x² = 450

x² = 450/2 = 225

x = sqrt(225) = 15 cm

The width of the logo need to be 15 cm.

PLEASE HELP ASAP PLEASE!!!!
malfutka [58]

Answer:

(3,2)

Step-by-step explanation:

2x-4=y

2y+3x=13

We substitute the y in. They already gave us the equation 2x-4=y simplified so you would just plug this into the other equation

2(2x-4) +3x=13 : *distribute*

4x-8+3x=13 :  *combine like terms*

7x-8=13  * add the 8 to the other side*

7x=21 *divide*

x=3

So  the y=2x-4 is what we added in the place of the y to subtract it and solve for x. The second step would be solving for y. So now that we have our answer, 3  we plug it into the other equation preferably.

2(3)-4 =y : 6-4=y : 2=y

We can check our answer by pugging both x and y into both equations to make sure they are right. The statement should be true.

2x-4=y         2(3)-4=(2)    2=2

2y+3x=13    2(2)+3(3)=13    13=13

scZoUnD [109]

Answer: H_0: \sigma=1.8

Step-by-step explanation:

Let \sigma represents the standard deviation .

Given : Last year, the standard deviation of the ages of the students at UA was 1.8 years.

The researcher are interested in testing to see if there has been a significant change in the standard deviation of the ages of the students at UA.

We know that the null hypothesis always contains the equal signs, then the null and alternative hypothesis is given by :-

H_0: \sigma=1.8\\\\ H_a:\sigma\neq1.8
