Answer:

$1120 more

Step-by-step explanation:

Given length = 14 feet

          breadth = 10 feet

Therefore, area of the sun room is = length x breadth

                                                         = 14 x 10

                                                         = 140 square foot

Cost of one square foot = $40

∴ Cost of 140 square foot is = 140 x 40 = $5600

Now when the width is increased to 12 feet.

New area of the  sun room is = length x breadth

                                                         = 14 x 12

                                                         = 168 square foot

We know,  Cost of one square foot = $40

∴ Cost of 140 square foot is = 140 x 40 = $6720

Therefore increased cost is $ ( 6720 - 5600 )

                                           = $ 1120

Answer:

$1120 more.

Step-by-step explanation:

14 x 10 = 140

140 x $40 = $5600

10 + 2 = 12

14 x 12 = 168

168 x $40 = $6720

$6720 - $5600 = $1120

Given cosine of x is equal to negative square root of 3 over 2 comma what is the value of cos(x π)?
slamgirl [31]

Value of cos(x+π) = \bold{\frac{\sqrt{3} }{2}}

Given cosine of x = -\frac{\sqrt{3} }{2}

i.e., cos(x) =  -\frac{\sqrt{3} }{2}

Also cos(\frac{\pi}{6}) =  \frac{\sqrt{3} }{2}. So x = \frac{\pi}{6}.

We need to find cos(x+π) = cos(\frac{7\pi}{6}).

But its value is not easy to find. So we use trigonometric formulas.

We have the trigonometric formula, cos (x+π) = - cos(x) = -  -\frac{\sqrt{3} }{2} =  \bold{\frac{\sqrt{3} }{2}}

Cos(x+π) lies in the 3rd quadrant. So there cosine has negative values. That is why, cos (x+π) = - cos(x).

Sophie [7]

Answer:

36:27

Step-by-step explanation:

18 - 3 = 15$ for each picture frame

15$ (picture frames) : 18$ (albums)

4 picture frames : 3 albums = 114$

1026 divided by 114 = 9

4x9 = 36 picture frames

3x9 = 27 albums

Step-by-step explanation:

the small and the large triangles are similar triangles.

they have the same angles. and the corresponding sides correlate to each other with the same ratio for every pair of sides.

so,

28 / 82 = (2x + 8) / ((2x + 8) + (5x -4)) =

= (2x + 8) / (7x + 4)

(7x + 4)×28 = (2x + 8)×82

196x + 112 = 164x + 656

32x = 544

x = 17
