How can corrective lenses be used to refocus light and resolve myopia and hyperopia? -?

I think the corrective lenses work by modifying the path of the light as it approaches your eye such that between the artificial lens and the lens of your eye- the light focuses on the retina. Myopia is the nearsightedness, it is a condition of the eye where light focuses in front of, instead of on, the retina. Hyperopia is farsightedness; where light focuses behind the Retina.

The following anatomical features of the small intestine function to increase the surface area of the intestinal wall and maximi
natulia [17]

Answer:

1) Circular Folds

2) Villi

3) Microvilli.

Explanation:

Small intestine is one of the most important organ of the body and plays n important role in the process of digestion. The dedenum, jejenum and ileum are the parts of small intestine.

The small intestine has villi that helps in increasing the surface area for digestion and absorption. The circular folds has the highest diameter and large in the structure than the villi and microvilli. Microvilli has the smallest structure among the villi and microvilli.

Thus, the order are option (c), (b) and (a).

Drug-resistant populations of microbes arise when: Group of answer choices exposure to drugs causes mutations that produce resis
yan [13]

exposure to drugs causes mutations which produce drug-resistant populations of microbes.

What is the effect of using same type of drug?

Drug-resistant populations of microbes arise when the exposure to drugs causes mutations because this exposure produce resistance which leads to mutation in the organism. Due to this mutation, the drugs did not work on the organism anymore.

So we can conclude that exposure to drugs causes mutations which produce drug-resistant populations of microbes.

Name two types of evidence used to support the theory of evolution. Explain how scientists use each type of evidence to provide
TEA [102]
Evidence for evolution, in other words evidence of common descent, include fossils, which have shown a (fairly) steady change in morphology over time for some species. An example would be horse hooves: we have fossils that show when they were still three toed, then two toed, then one toe in our present day horses. Another piece of evidence is vestigial organs. An example of vestigial organs is wings in some flightless birds, such as the kiwi. Their ancestors used it in order to fly across the marine barrier into New Zealand, but natural selection and random genetic drift made them quickly lose the ability to fly. Nonetheless, they still have their wings, however small. It can be assumed that eventually, their wings would be reduced to small stubs fused to other nearby bones, as has been observed in their cousins.

the element nitrogen has an atomic number of 7 and an atomic mass of 14 how many protons, neutrons and electrons are in a atom o
Nat2105 [25]

Answer: By definition, if the atomic number = 7 , then there are 7 protons, 7 electrons, and 8 neutrons!

Explanation:

The atomic number is by definition the number of protons, positively charged particles, contained within the atomic nucleus. So if there are 7 protons, there MUST be 7 electrons, 7 negatively charged particles. Why? Because matter is electrically neutral, and positive and negative particles must be equal.

Electrons have negligible mass; the mass number depends on the number of protons contained within the nucleus, PLUS the number of neutrons. Given that we have 15 N , there must be 8 neutrons contained within the nucleus. does this help?

nadya68 [22]

Answer:

Permafrost is ground that continuously remains below 0°C for two or more years, located on land or under the ocean. Permafrost does not have to be the first layer that is on the ground. It can be from an inch to several miles deep under the Earth's surface.
