Correct answer:

False

"Executive privilege" refers to a privilege held by the EXECUTIVE branch of government. The Supreme Court heads the judicial branch. The President heads the executive branch.

The Constitution of the United States asserts (in Article II, Section 1): "The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America." The role of chief executive means that the President holds the primary administrative role in the federal government.

According to National Public Radio (NPR), "Nowhere does the Constitution mention the term or the concept of executive privilege." That hasn't stopped Presidents from asserting they have such a privilege. NPR notes that "President Dwight Eisenhower was the first president to coin the phrase 'executive privilege,' but not the first to invoke its principle: namely, that a president has the right to withhold certain information from Congress, the courts or anyone else — even when faced with a subpoena." Already in the administration of our first president, George Washington, such a claim was made. In that instance, Washington lost the argument and was required to hand over documents that Congress had requested about an expedition against American Indian tribes along the Ohio River.

Why might it be difficult to deal with people who never doubt their own infallibility?
Crazy boy [7]

Because such people have their mind sets that they can never be wrong.

Explanation:

Infallibility is something when a person doesn't feel himself wrong. This happens when people have their minds set that they are always right and the other person engaged in the argument with them is wrong, and there is nothing wrong with them. It is actually the inability of themselves to sense their selves wrong.

No one can be infallible. Every human is fallible. So one considering himself fallible is totally wrong. It might happen sometimes that people are right in an argument, but it does not matter that they would always be right. They can be gone wrong sometimes.

It is heard and seen in our daily lives that in an argument with a person who thinks himself infallible, the other person usually says that it is better to keep quiet now, as i know you are never going to consider yourself at mistake.

So it is totally a wrong practice.

Trace the history of the theory of totalitarianism and discuss the degree to which it accurately describes Stalin’s Soviet Union
Vlad1618 [11]

Answer:

Totalitarianism is a political ideology that seeks total control of all aspects of life by a powerful state.

The origins of totalitarianism can be traced back to 1920s Italy, when Benito Mussolini rose to power and adopted an ideology named "Fascism". Fascism sought total state control in order to advance a particular view for Italy.

Stalin's Soviet Union was a totalitarian communist state because he had control over every aspect of life. The economy was planned, the media was censored, and people could not criticize the state.

Hitler's Germany was a totalitarian state because nazism also sought total state control in order to further Hitler's goals for Germany: territorial expansion, and the extermination of minorities (jews, roma, slavs, homosexuals, the disabled, etc).

Japan was also a totalitarian state until its defeat in the second world war. The Emperor was all powerful, and had total control over national life, and Japan's policy during the era was to colonize most of East Asia in order to expand Japanese influence.
