Courtlynn combines 7/8 cup sour cream with 1/2 cup cream cheese. She then divides the mixture between 2 bowls. How much mixture does Courtlynn put in each bowl?

$\frac{11}{4}$  this is because when you add $\frac{7}{8}$ and $\frac{1}{2}$ you get $\frac{11}{8}$ which you'd then divide like this

$( \frac{11}{1} ) ( \frac{2}{8}) =( \frac{11}{1} ) ( \frac{1}{4}) = \frac{11}{4}$

If you wanted to simplify that it would be $2 \frac{3}{4}$
