If the charge is a linear function, we need to find the slope of the line. In this problem, money charged is a function of hours parked... f(h) = $ Your points then are (hours, dollars) We have two points... (4, 5.5), (7, 7.75) The slope is the rise over the run... m = (7.75 - 5.5)/(7-4) = 2.25/3 = .75 If the hours decrease by 1, the charge will decrease by $.75. At 4 hours we charge, $5.50 For 3 hours we charge $5.50 - $.75 = $4.75

A community is planning to build a rectangular garden. The width of the garden is 17 /4 feet (ft), and the perimeter of the gard
Lynna [10]

Answer:

34 square feet

Step-by-step explanation:

First, you need to find the other side of the garden in order to find the area a=l*w

The formula to find the length is, p-w*2=x x÷2=l

because, perimeter is l+l+w+w and area is just l*w

4.25*2=8.50

24.50-8.50=16

16÷2=8

l=8

So now we need to multiply the length and width to get the area.

8*4.25=34 sq. ft.

I hope that helps!
