Herd behavior is a type of behavior whereby people adopt the values of a group or those in the group, without taking into account their own thoughts and feelings. It depicts the kind of relationship a sheep has with other members of the flock, where they follow blindly because others are doing it.
Herd behavior results when individuals suppress their thoughts or lack the ability to be introspective about certain activities carried out by people around them, this makes them act just like people around them or people in the group.
For example, a group of teenagers buying a type of gadget, but for the fear of losing out, even someone who can't afford it could spend their last dime to get that gadget.
