Answer:

To increase blood flow by reducing blood viscosity

Explanation:

An increase specifically in the percentage volume of RBC count in the blood,or the concentration of haemoglobin, and other blood cells e,g white blood cells, platelets is called polycythemia. As a result of elevated volume of the blood cells, the solute potential of the blood rises, with corresponding drop in blood water potential. Hence there is restriction in blood flow leading to high blood viscosity. Therefore the exigency measures or goal of the treatment is to ease the blood flow reduces viscosity to avoid complications e.g blood clots, angina, increase blood pressure, renal failure and other complication of blood viscosity.

When the increase in RBC production is due to mutations in the gene that code for protein needed in for red blood cells productions (erythpoiesis); t it is Primary Polycythemia., However elevation in RBCs due to complications from another diseases in the body is called Secondary Polycythemia

Should prenatal testing be required of all
aleksandr82 [10.1K]
I think it should be required. You need to make sure that the baby developing inside of you is healthy and growing correctly. You also need these tests to ensure the moms safety during the pregnancy. And no i don’t think you should have to cover the cost.
