Answer:

D) theory

Explanation:

Theory is the set of fundamental principles of an art or a science. Theory is a synthesized opinion, it is a general notion. From the Greek theoria which in the historical context meant to observe or examine. With its evolution the term came to designate the set of ideas, the basis of a certain theme, which seeks to convey a general notion of some aspects of reality.

Theory is also a conjecture, an opinion formed before a fact. One theory attempts to explain something difficult to accomplish.

A scientific theory is the speculative part of a science, as opposed to practice. It is a consistent system formed by observations, ideas and axioms or postulates, constituting as a whole a set that tries to explain certain phenomena.

Examples of scientific theories are: Chaos Theory, Communication Theory, Knowledge Theory, Evolution Theory, Game Theory, Quantum Theory, Relativity Theory, among others.

The answer is theory which is a proposed explanation whose status is still conjectural and subject to experimentation, in contrast to well-established propositions that are regarded as reporting matters of actual fact.

Animals get carbon by eating plants or by eating other animals.

so the correct answer would be C

The lion eats an herbivore that ate the grass

Plants use carbon dioxide for photosynthesis. By doing so, they remove inorganic carbon from the atmosphere and incorporate it into the plants’ tissues in the form of organic carbon (sugar and starch).

Carbon is returned to an inorganic state in a number of ways. As an animal breathes (respires), it exhales carbon dioxide, returning it back to the atmosphere. When an animal or plant dies, it is broken down by bacteria and fungi and again the carbon is released (this process is called decomposition).

Sometimes, instead of completely decomposing, a plant or animal may be fossilised, leading to its carbon being stored in a rock. After millions of years and under the right conditions, these fossils may turn into fossil fuels (oil, coal and natural gas).

hope this helps!!

How does an organism such as a plant adapt to living in a dry environment like a desert?
azamat
The ability to adapt to arid conditions can mean the difference between life or death for animals and plants that live in the desert. Some animals burrow deep underground in the heat of the day, lie in the shade until late afternoon or early evening, or have evolved salt glands, which allow their bodies to secrete salt but not sweat so they retain water. Most deserts have dry, arid climates with little to no rain, so every living organism that lives there must find a way to adapt, survive and thrive, or die.

I hope this helped
