the complete question in the attached figure

<span>we have to find the surface area first</span>

<span>the area of the base is  A1------- > 5*2=10 ft</span>²

A2 (area of two rectangles faces)---------- > 2*3+2*4=14 ft²

A3 (area of the two triangles faces)

base of triangle------------ > 5---------- > (x)+(x-5)

x²+h²=3²    ------------ > h²=9-x²

(5-x)²+h²=4²----------- > h²=16-(5-x)²

9-x²=16-(5-x)²-------------- >9-x²=16-25-10x-x²----------------- > x=1.8

h²=9-(1.8)²------------ > h=2.4 ft

A3= (5*2.4)*2/2=12 ft²

the surface area total=A1+A2+A3=10+14+12=36 ft²

if $0.22 ------------------------ > 1 ft²

X----------------------------------> 36 ft²

X=36*.22=$7.92

the answer is $7.92

Edward wants to spend less than $115 to buy a
nikdorinn [45]

Answer: x < 30

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the cost of a jean be x

cost of a shirt = $25

cost of 3 jeans = 3x

since he wants to spend less than $115 , this means that

3x + 25 < 115

3x < 115 - 25

3x < 90

x < 30

If i have 6 bottles of water and each weigh 3/5 pounds how much do i have
Katen [24]

You have 3 and 3/5 pounds of water.

To find this, simply multiply 3/5 by 6/1 (multiplying straight across). 6 times 3 is 18 and 5 times 1 is 5. Thus meaning you have 18/5 pounds, which simplified is 3 and 3/5 pounds.

I hope this helps!

Lines LM and QR are graphed on this coordinate plane. Which point is the intersection of lines LM and QR?
kvv77 [185]

The first number is the X coordinate and the second number is the Y coordinate.

Looking left to right the lines intersect at X = 1

Looking up and down they intersect at Y = -3

The answer is C. (1,-3)

paloma eats 2/8 of an apple in the morning and 3/8 more in the afternoon. how much of an apple did she eat in total
marishachu [46]

Step-by-step explanation:

in this problem, we are solving for the amount of apple that Paloma eats

1. she ate 2/8 of a complete apple -hence the will be a remainder, we will find

  that remainder

2. she also ate 3/8 of the remainder for lunch

3. we then proceed to calculate all apple she ate in total

1. \frac{2}{8} *1= \frac{1}{4} \\\\1-\frac{1}{4}= \frac{4-1}{4}  = \frac{3}{4}

2 she ate 3/8 of the remaining 3/4 apple

1. \frac{3}{8} *\frac{3}{4} = \frac{9}{32}

3. in  total she ate 1/4+ 9/32

\frac{1}{4} +\frac{9}{32} = \frac{8+9}{32} = \frac{17}{32}
