Bargeron corporation has a target capital structure of 64 percent common stock, 9 percent preferred stock, and 27 percent debt.
dalvyx [7]

a.

WACC is calculated as –

WACC = (Weight of common stock X Cost of common stock) + (Weight of preferred stock X Cost of preferred stock) + (Weight of debt X After tax cost of debt)

WACC = (64% X 13.4%) + (9% X 6.4%) + (27% X ((1- 40%)*8.1%))

WACC = 10.46%

b. After tax cost of debt is calculated as –

After tax cost of debt = (1- tax rate) X cost of debt pre-tax

After tax cost of debt = ((1- 40%)*8.1%))

After tax cost of debt = 4.86%

Which of the following could a typical third grader handle?
N76 [4]

10-15 push ups: it's because pull-ups are taxing for an 8 year old, using my brother for an example who can hardly lift himself up. Sit-ups are taxing on the back due to the amount of muscular endurance and strength while a mile running-I laugh- converted to meters is approximately 1609 meters. I'm in Junior high yet I can  only do 900. Thus, it can be concluded the most appropriate activity a third grader could handle is a simple push-up.

What is research and development in research?
borishaifa [10]

Businesses engage in research and development (R&D) when they want to produce new products or find ways to enhance the ones they already have. Larger businesses might have their own in-house research and development group that will evaluate and improve items or procedures prior to use in the marketplace.

The creation of new knowledge is what research and development do. It is a task that businesses carry out in order to create new goods, methods, or services, or to enhance ones that currently exist. Businesses frequently assume risk in order to achieve this.

While the development stage of research and development comprises the processes necessary to bring a new or modified product or process into production, applied research advances the findings of basic research to the point where they can be used to address a particular need.

As per this problem shareholder equity would be

no. of shares to be collected = (1400 bonds) * (30 shares)

                                                  = 42,000 shares

.

therefore, equity :-

(42,000 shares) ( $3 ) = $126,000
