wheat = $0.96 lb rye = $1.89 lb

12w + 15r = 3987 15w + 10r = 3330 r = (3330 - 15w)/10 12w + 15r = 3987 12w + 15((3330 - 15w)/10) = 3987 12w + (15/10)(3330 - 15w) = 3987 12w + 4995 - 22.5w = 3987 10.5w = 1008 w = 96 cents r = 189 cents.

Hope this helps mate

valkas [14]

Answer:

x = 18 y = 10

Step-by-step explanation:

let the first number be x

let the second number be y

x = y + 8..... equation 1

2x + y = 46.... equation 2

x is the larger number

y is the smaller number.

Rearrange the equation and add equation 1 to equation 2.

x - y = 8

+ 2x + y = 46

-------------------

3x + 0 = 54

3x = 54

divide both sides by 3

x = 54/3

x = 18

Substitute x = 18 into equation 1

x = y + 8

18 = y + 8

collect like terms

y = 18-8

y = 10

Can anyone help me out on this
Licemer1 [7]

Answer:

y=x+10

Step-by-step explanation:

y=mx+b

y=1x+b

1 because for every 10 it goes to the right, it goes up 10 as well.

b=10 because the function crosses the y-axis at 10

so

y=x+10

PLEASE HELP AND HURRY
kogti [31]

Here the given expression is

y =(\frac{3}{4})^x

We need to find the value of y when x =3 . So we substitute the value of x in the given expression.

y =(\frac{3}{4})^3 = \frac{27}{64} =0.4

So when x=3, y=0.4 and that's the required answer.
