So you know that the total width of the posters is 4 + 4 + 4 so 12 inches.
you also know that the ratio of the total poster width to the width of the advertisement is 4:5
so to find the width of the whole board you do
12 / 4 = 3
3 x 5 = 15 inches

then you know that
4t = 15-12
4t = 3
t = 3/4 inches

Answer: B. 3/4 inch

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: The width of each poster = 4 inches

Then the sum of width of 3 posters = 3\times4=12\ inches

Let x be total width of the advertisement.

Since the ratio of the sum of the widths of the three pictures to the total width of the advertisement is 4:5.

Then, we have

\frac{12}{x}=\frac{4}{5}\\\\\Rightarrow\ x=\frac{12\times5}{4}\\\\\Rightarrow\ x=15\ inches

Now, the sum of lengths of empty spaces between the pictures

=Total width - sum of width of 3 posters=15-12=3\ inches

From the given picture, we have

\\\\\Rightarrow 4t=3\\\\\Rightarrow\ t=\frac{3}{4}\ inches

Hence, the length of each of the four empty spaces between the pictures  = 3/4 inch.

Im confused that's all - If 80% is 75 marks, what is full marks
never [62]

Let the full marks be represented by = x

As given, 80% of x is 75

So,

\frac{80}{100}*x=75

x= 80x=7500

x=93.75

Hence, full marks is 93.75

We can check also- \frac{80}{100}*93.75 =75

You work at an ice-cream shop. One of your jobs is to order new ice-cream cones. You pick the cone that is 5 inches high and has
Taya2010 [7]
We have that
the Volume of cone=(1/3)*B*h
B=the area of the base
h= the height of the cone
D=3.5 in-----------------> r=D/2=1.75 in
h=5 in
B=pi*r²---------> 3.14*1.75²=9.616 in²
V=(1/3)*9.616*5=48.08 in³--------> 48 in³

the answer is 48 in³

Can someone help me please.
Katyanochek1 [597]
The first fraction is 7/10.
The second bag has the same probability as the top so just copy the fractions into the boxes.
To calculate the probability of the same colour being chosen you follow these steps.
P(RR) = 3/10 x 4/9 = 12/90
P(GG) = 7/10 x 5/9 = 35/90
Then add the two fractions.
12/90 + 35/90 = 47/90
The last box is 47/90.
