Whats the geometric mean of 2 and 3
elena-s [515]
Well, first Geometric Mean is a special type of average where we multiply the numbers together and then take a square root (for two numbers), cube root (for three numbers) etc.

So, the first step in solving this problem is taking 2 and 3 and multiplying them
(2x3=6).

Now, for the second step, we will cube it. Since there are 2 numbers, we are going to use the 2nd root ( 2√6)

This will give us: 4.89897948557 or 5 if you would round it. This would be the Geometric Mean.

Lana has a bowl of marbles the bowl contains 5 green marbles,3 red marbles and 2 blue marbles from the bowl one at a time. What
ivanzaharov [21]

Answer:

3/20

Step-by-step explanation:

5 green marbles,3 red marbles and 2 blue marbles from the bowl = 10 marbles

P( green) = green/total = 5/10 = 1/2

Replace

5 green marbles,3 red marbles and 2 blue marbles from the bowl = 10 marbles

P( red) = red/total = 3/10

P(green,replace, red) = 1/2 * 3/10 = 3/20

A recipe requires 1/3 cup of milk for each 1/4 cup of water. How many cups of water are needed for each cup of milk?
raketka [301]
The answer would be B because you have to multiply 1/3 by 3 to get a whole cup. Therefore, you have to multiply 1/4 by 3 also. In this case, the answer would be 3/4. Hope this helps!
