If an organism has a diploid number of 6 chromosomes, how many different combinations of maternal and paternal chromosomes are p
Alexxandr [17]

The different number of maternal and paternal chromosomes possible will be 8. that is option A is correct.

Chromosomes are defined as the genetic material within the body. They are thread like structures within the DNA and are made of proteins. In general human body has 23 pairs of chromosomes out of which 22 are numbered while 1 is the sex chromosome. Gametes are genetic material that are generally haploid in nature and they carry only one chromosome along with them. According to the question, there are 6 diploid chromosomes present which means there are 3 pairs of chromosomes. So each gametes will have a total number of 3 chromosomal pairs irrespective of their type that is maternal or paternal. Therefore combination of maternal and paternal chromosomes are given by

Combination = 2ⁿ where n is pair of chromosomes and here n = 3

Combination = 2³ = 8

Which are tunics (layers) that make up the gastrointestinal wall?
AlekseyPX

The gastrointestinal wall is composed of four layers or tunics:

  • Mucosa
  • Submucosa
  • Muscularis mucosa
  • Serosa

The innermost tunic of the wall is known as the mucosa or mucous membrane layer. The digestive tract's lumen is lined with it. The mucosa comprises epithelium, a layer of lamina propria, a loose layer of connective tissue, and the muscularis mucosa, a thin layer of smooth muscle.

The mucosa is surrounded by a substantial layer of loose connective tissue known as the submucosa. Blood arteries, lymphatic vessels, and neurons are also present in this stratum. The adventitia is a connective tissue that makes up the digestive tract's outermost layer above the diaphragm. It is referred to as serosa below the diaphragm.

gavmur [86]

Evolution is the change in heritable traits of biological populations over successive generations.

What is evolution of life?

  • Evolution has produced the variety of life that exists on Earth today. Since life first emerged on Earth between 3.5 and 4 billion years ago, it has continued to develop.
  • At initially, there were just single-celled, primitive species on Earth.
  • The first multicellular organisms appeared much later, and as a result, the diversity of life on Earth significantly increased.
  • Darwin put out a substantial amount of evidence to back up his idea of evolution by natural selection.
  • Evolution is the gradual alteration of a living thing's traits over time. Natural selection is the process of evolution.
  • Through their DNA, organisms transmit their traits from one generation to the next.
