Intraplate volcanism is igneous activity that occurs away from plate margins.

Intraplate volcanism is the volcanic activity that takes place within a tectonic plate far away from plate margins/ boundaries. Volcanic activity usually takes place at plate margins but some exceptionally active ones (such as intraplate volcanism) also occur within a plate. Most intraplate volcanism are thought to occur due to large hot mantle plumes that rise gradually through the mantle by convection.

The _________ of an organism is defined as all the chemical processes that occur in the cells of that organism. O
Neporo4naja [7]

Answer:

The correct answer is d. Metabolism

Explanation:

Metabolism is a series of chemical reactions that are interconnected with each other. Metabolites are the compounds that are involved in a metabolism process. Metabolism consists of all the chemical process that occurs in a cell of the body of an organism.

Metabolism consists of two pathways, anabolic pathway, and catabolic pathway. In anabolic pathway synthesis of a larger molecule occurs from smaller molecules like the formation of glucose from CO₂ and H₂O during photosynthesis.

In catabolism, oxidative breakdown of these large molecules into smaller molecules takes place like conversion of glucose into CO₂ and H₂O during respiration.

Therefore the metabolism of an organism is defined as all the chemical processes that occur in the cells of that organism.
