Answer: 17.5824 % ( Approx)

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the hours spent by Claudia = x hours,

According to the question,

Hours spent by Jodie = 25 % less than Claudia

⇒ Hours spent by Jodie = the hours spent by Claudia - 25% of the hours spent by Claudia

= x - 25 % of x

= x - 0.25 x     ( Since, 1% = 0.01⇒ 25 % = 0.25 )

= 0.75 x

Also, Hours spent by Gianna = 9 % less than Claudia

⇒ Hours spent by  Gianna  = the hours spent by Claudia - 9% of the hours spent by Claudia

= x - 9% of x

= x - 0.09 x

= 0.91 x

Thus, the percentage by which Gianna spent more than Jodie

= \frac{\text{ Gianna's spending - Jodie's spending}}{\text{Gianna's spending}}\times 100

= \frac{0.91x-0.75x}{0.91x}\times 100

= \frac{0.16x}{0.91x}\times 100

= \frac{0.16}{0.91}\times 100

= \frac{16}{0.91}

= 17.582417582\% = 17.5824\%

In how many ways can a quality-control engineer select a sample of3 transistors for testing frm a batch of 100 transistors?
Advocard [28]

Answer:

161700 ways.

Step-by-step explanation:

The order in which the transistors are chosen is not important. This means that we use the combinations formula to solve this question.

Combinations formula:

C_{n,x} is the number of different combinations of x objects from a set of n elements, given by the following formula.

C_{n,x} = \frac{n!}{x!(n-x)!}

In this question:

3 transistors from a set of 100. So

C_{100,3} = \frac{100!}{3!(100-3)!} = 161700

So 161700 ways.

<h3>Answer:  5/12  (choice C)</h3>

Explanation:

Recall that tangent = opposite/adjacent.

For reference angle M, the side ON = 5 is the opposite side and MN = 12 is the adjacent side. We don't need the hypotenuse.

Which of the following angles can be trisected using only a compass and straightedge?
ZanzabumX [31]
I'm pretty sure it is C. 45 because compass and straightedge is a right angle or an acute angle and 45 is less than a right angle
