What does a roller coaster have to do with science and energy

Physics

A roller coaster has to do with energy is a simple factor. I don't remember the names for it but here's a hint. There's about three ways for it to happen. Energy builds up when a object is not in motion. So thus when it is in motion (when the roller coaster goes down) it creates energy and force which helps pule the roller coaster down in speed.

I really hope this helps

aleksley [76]

Explanation:

The expression for the magnetic field around the current carrying wire is given by :

B=\dfrac{\mu_o I}{2\pi r}

Here,

I is electric current and r is distance from the wire.

The factors affect the strength of magnetic field around current carrying wire are :

  • Electric current
  • Distance from wire

Classify the statements as correct or incorrect.
alexandr402 [8]

Explanation:

  • A thermometer does measure the temperature of a body and not the heat. It is known that temperature is a measure of average kinetic energy.

Therefore, the statement a thermometer measures  the average kinetic energy  of a substance is correct.

  • Heat is a form of energy as it can make a colder substance become hot and it moves from one place to another. Thus, the statement heat is a form of energy is correct.
  • Also, heat flows from hotter substance to colder substance. Hence, the statement heat flows from a colder  substance to a hotter  substance is correct.
  • Convection is a property of fluids or gases which makes less denser (hot) material to rise and more denser (colder) material to sink.

Therefore, the statement convection occurs only  in liquids and gases is correct.

  • All substances radiate heat is an incorrect statement. For example, a thermos bottle does not radiate heat.
  • Temperature of our body is about 98.4 degree celsius and hence we can conclude that the statement our body temperature is  always equal to the  temperature around us is incorrect.

A flowerpot falls from a window sill 36.5 m
hram777 [196]

When a flowerpot falls from a window sill 36.5 m

above the sidewalk, then the velocity of the flowerpot is 26.7 m/s.

From Newton's third equation of motion,

v^2 = u^2 + 2gh

where,

h is the height of the object or body from ground

u is the initial velocity of the body or object

v is the final velocity of the body or object

g is the acceleration due to gravity

Now, as we know that

Flowerpot is at rest. So, u = 0

g = 9.81m/s^2

h = 36.5m

By substituting all the values, we get

v^2 = 2 × 9.81 × 36.5

= 716.13

v = 26.7m/s

Thus, we concluded that when a flowerpot falls from a window sill 36.5 m

above the sidewalk, then the velocity of the flowerpot is 26.7 m/s.

During an episode of turbulence in an airplane you feel 210 n heavier than usual.if your mass is 72 kg, what are the magnitude a
lana66690 [7]
According to Newton's Second Law of Motion, the net force experienced by the system is equal to the mass of the system in question times the acceleration in motion. In this case, the net force is the difference of gravitational force and the force experience by the motion of the airplane. This difference is already given to be 210 N.

Net force = ma
210 N = (73 kg)(a)
a = +2.92 m/s²

Thus, the acceleration of the airplane's motion is 2.92 m/s² to the positive direction which is upwards.
