DNA is the molecule which has instructions in the form of nucleotides to form mRNA. Synthesis of mRNA is primarily required so that protein could be synthesized. Before protein could be synthesized, some mRNA molecules like mRNA, tRNA and rRNA are synthesized by using one of the DNA strands as a template and subsequently these mRNAs collectively lead to the synthesis of proteins. The synthesis of RNAs from DNA molecule is known as transcription while synthesis of proteins with the help of RNAs is known as translation.
