According to the HL theorem for right-triangles, one leg and the hypotenuse must be equal, what does that mean?

well it means that 3y = x + 3, and that y + 1 = x, when does that happen anyway?  let's see,

\bf \begin{cases}
3y=x+3\\
y+1=\boxed{x}
\end{cases}\implies 3y=\boxed{y+1}+3\implies 3y=y+4
\\\\\\
2y=4\implies y=\cfrac{4}{2}\implies y=2\\\\
-------------------------------\\\\
\textit{and since we know that }y+1 =x\implies (2)+1=x\implies 3=x

HELPPPPP ITS DUE TODAY
siniylev [52]

Answer:

1) just make an equation (answer below)

SO the new bottle is 30 ounces

The old bottle was 25 percent more then the new one

So we can just find 25 percent of 30

And add it

That is the most simple way but I would just do

30*1.25 Its the same thing but if you think a bout ti, the new bottle can Only hold 30 ounces, 30 ounces is 100 percent of the new bottle, if you multiply 1.25 its adding 25 percent so it Turns a 2 step into a 1 step.

1.25*30=37.5

The larger bottle was 37.5 ounces

X^2-3x-18 in simplest form
Kay [80]

= x ^{2}  - 3x - 18 \\  =x ^{2}  - (6 - 3)x - 18 \\  = x ^{2}  - 6x + 3x - 18 \\  = x(x - 6) + 3(x - 6)  \\ = (x - 6)(x + 3)

Help finding angles 4, 3 ,2 ,5... Picture attached this time
Korvikt [17]

Angle 3 = 180° - 70°

Angle 3 = 110°

Angle 2 = 180° - (110° + 36°)

Angle 2 = 180° - 146°

Angle 2 = 34°

Angle 4 = 180° - 70°

Angle 4 = 110°

Angle 5 = 180° - (110° + 62°)

Angle 5 = 180° - 172°

Angle 5 = 8°

I hope this helps.
