After the music store he had $14 left, because 21:3=7 and 7x2 equals 14.

After the drink, he has $3.5 left, because 14:4=3.5 and 3.5x1=3.5.

Conclusion: that is one expensive drink. (Answer is 3 dollars and 50 cents. Hope this helped:)

Ok to solve this problem we need to first find how much he spend in the mall. We put the 2 fractions into like denominators which is 12.  If we convert it we get a total of 11/12. So he spent 11/12 of his money. One way you can solve is by figuring out how much 11/12 is and subtract that by 21. Then you will get 19.25
21 minus 19.25 is 1.75 dollars. Another way is to just find out how much is 1/12 of 21. Then you will get $1.75. So Spencer has 1.75 dollars left. I hope this helps!

Mrs. Lovejoy makes flower arrangements. She has 36 red carnations, 60 white carnations, and 72 pink carnations. Each arrangement
Marat540 [252]

Answer:

12 arrangements

Step-by-step explanation:

We solve this question using the Greatest Common Factor method.

We are told that:

She has 36 red carnations, 60 white carnations, and 72 pink carnations.

The same number of each item should be in each basket.

The greatest number of baskets is calculated as follows:

Step 1

The factors of 36 are: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, 12, 18, 36

The factors of 60 are: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 12, 15, 20, 30, 60

The factors of 72 are: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 12, 18, 24, 36, 72

Step 2

We Identify the number that is greatest and common amongst 36,60, and 72

This is 12.

Then the greatest common factor is 12

Therefore, the greatest number of arrangements she can make if she uses every carnation is 12 arrangements

Solve using substitution -9x+7y=-15 and -8x+y=18
Kipish [7]

Answer:

x=-3, y=-6. (-3, -6).

Step-by-step explanation:

-9x+7y=-15

-8x+y=18

------------------

y=18-(-8x)=18+8x=8x+18

----------------------------------

-9x+7(8x+18)=-15

-9x+56x+126=-15

47x+126=-15

47x=-15-126

47x=-141

x=-141/47

x=-3

-8(-3)+y=18

24+y=18

y=18-24=-6

x=-3, y=-6.

Solve for x and then determine the measure of the exterior angle.
neonofarm [45]

Answer:

x=25, 120

Step-by-step explanation:

The two angles form a straight line so they add to 180

60 + 4x +20 =180

Combine like terms

4x+80 = 180

Subtract 80 from each side

4x+80-80 =180-80

4x= 100

Divide by 4

4x/4 =100/4

x= 25

The exterior angle is

4x+20 = 4*25+20 =100+20 =120
