Answer:

The pituitary gland refers to a small gland, which is situated in the sella turcica. It is considered the master gland of the body. The pituitary gland comprises two prime parts, the posterior pituitary gland and the anterior pituitary gland. The anterior pituitary gland produces six hormones and discharged them into the bloodstream.

The following are the hormones produced by anterior pituitary gland:

1. The growth hormone that monitors metabolism, growth and body composition.

2. Adrenocorticotropic hormone that instigates the adrenal glands to produce steroid hormones, mainly cortisol.

3. Follicle-stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone, also called gonadotropins, which functions on the testes or ovaries to instigate the production of sex hormone, and maturity of sperm and egg.

4. The thyroid-stimulating hormone that instigates the thyroid gland to discharge thyroid hormones.

5. Prolactin that instigates the production of milk.

Choose some of these examples to create a system. Explain how the flow of matter and energy occurs in the system.
ycow [4]

The major difference between the flow of matter and of energy is that the flow of matter occurs in a cyclic manner i.e. it is recycled, however, the flow of energy in an ecosystem is unidirectional which means, it is not recycled. The flow of matter follows the following path

1) Decomposers release nutrients when they break down dead organisms

2) The nutrients are taken up by plants through their roots

3) The nutrients pass to primary consumers when they eat the plants

4) The nutrients pass to higher-level consumers when they eat lower-level consumers

5) When living things die, the cycle repeats

In case of flow of energy, the energy flows through an ecosystem in one direction, from photosynthetic organisms to herbivores to omnivores and carnivores and decomposers, less and less energy becomes available to support life. This loss of usable energy occurs because each energy transfer results in the dissipation of some energy into the environment as heat

Rapid digestion of a cell by its own lysosomes is called
Xelga [282]

When the lysosomes of a cell rapidly digest the cell itself, this process is known as autolysis. This self digestion process helps in the decomposition of the dead cells. The cell is dismantled by its own lysosomes, which digests the remains of the dead cell. It is an essential process in the life cycle of a cell. This self digestion of the cells is extremely important for the new cells to grow.

Hence, the correct answer is 'autolysis'.

What is the job of tRNA
exis [7]

Answer:

To make our mRNA

Explanation:

I think it is this one, but I am not sure, sorry if it is wrong. :(

But I do know this, I think it might help you:

A transfer RNA (tRNA) is a special kind of RNA molecule. Its job is to match an mRNA codon with the amino acid it codes for. You can think of it as a kind of molecular "bridge" between the two. Each tRNA contains a set of three nucleotides called an anticodon.
