The political revolutions were often spurred by new thinking. How could life be better? This thinking is what inspired the industrial revolution. How can we make this easier? The political revolutions gave people the ability to participate in the political process (vote). The industrial revolution opened up new economic opportunities to people. The two clashed because the ideas to better life or make things easier didn't always do so for everyone. Sometimes only a small portion of people would actually benefit.

The correct answer is, the ways political revolutions and industrial revolutions combine to promote change are the following.

Political revolutions are the result of tyrant governments or dictatorial rulers. People in those countries suffer from extreme poverty, injustices, lack of freedom and democracy. People are desperate because maybe they have tried every legal thing to change the government. Having found no response at all, the last resource is a Revolution. We have examples of three of the most important revolutions in modern times: the French Revolution, the Mexican Revolution, and the Russian Revolution.

Industrial Revolutions are different, but in one way or the other, are the result of discoveries, technology, and advancements. These revolutions provoke changes in manufacture, in mass production, create many jobs –although many times low pay jobs- and generate economic opportunities for societies.

Both revolutions could clash when people realize that the promises made before the revolution are not met. When people do not see the positive consequences of what they were fighting for. Sometimes after the revolution is done, people do not know what’s next. They were good to fight but they are not to reconstruct. Leaders that were successful in the revolution are no so good to unify. Different leaders are needed for a reconstruction process.
