Here's what the punnet square should look like:

    <u>T</u>       <u>t</u>

<u>T</u>   TT    Tt

<u>t</u>    Tt      tt

There is a 25% (or 1/4) probability the offspring will have the TT genotype

There is a 50% (or 2/4) probability the offspring will have the Tt genotype

There is a 25% (or 1/4) probability the offspring will have the tt genotype.

Homozygous means the offspring will have either TT genotype or tt genotype (The Tt genotype is heterozygous). Recessive means the offspring will have the recessive trait, marked with a lowercase letter.

In this case, the homozygous recesssive genotype is tt and there is a 25% probability that the offspring will have this genotype.
