Complement of angle 32 degree is the angle which when added with 32 will yield 90 degree. Similarly the complement of angle 58 degree is 32 degree. In a right angled triangle, the two angles other than 90 degree are complement to each other.

2 angles are comlementary if they add to 90
so if x and y are complentary then x+y=90

the complemnt to a 32 degree angle is
32+x=90
minus 32 both sides
x=58 degres

the complement is 58 degrees

Using completing the square solve for x
X^2-10x-9=0
Lady bird [3.3K]
X^2 - 10x - 9 = 0
first we will move the constant term to the other side
x^2 - 10x = 9
then, to both sides we will add the number that makes the polynomial on the left a perfect square trinomial. Take half of the coefficient of x, then square it. half of the coefficient of x (-10) is -5, and -5 squared is 25. so:
x^2 - 10x + 25 = 34
factor the perfect square trinomial
(x - 5)^2 = 34
x - 5 = plus or minus sqrt(34)
x = 5 plus or minus sqrt(34)

A man walks 4km from point x due east of point Y. The bearing of a flag point x and y are due N80°W and N40°E respectively. Find
In-s [12.5K]

The distance of the flag pole from point Y is 0.8 km and it is placed at an bearing of N40°E

What is an equation?

An equation is an expression that shows the relationship between two or more numbers and variables.

Sine rule shows the relationship between the sides and angles of a triangle.

The triangle formed has angles A = 10°, B = 50°, C = 120°, c = 4 km, a = distance from point y.

Hence:

a / sinA = c / sinC

a / sin(10) = 4 / sin(120)

a = 0.8 km

The distance of the flag pole from point Y is 0.8 km and it is placed at an bearing of N40°E

Answer:

The answer is 16.

Step-by-step explanation:

∠AO is equal to ∠OB

Since ∠OB is 8 meters the ∠AO would be the same.

Therefore, 8+8=16.

∠AB = 16 m
