To get the depo shot you need it in the diploid.. A diploid has two sets of chromosomes.  You can find this in the germ line. Cells and organisms with pairs of homologous chromosomes are called a diploid. Most animals are diploid, they produce haploid gametes.

PKU Is Phenylketonuria results in less metabolism of amino acid. It might lead to a mental disorder or behavior problems. It is mostly Genetic.

If only one parent is suffering from it then there is little possibility that it will pass on to a child but if both the parents are having the problem of PKU then there are more chances that the child will also develop such a problem. It can be treated if we catch it at an early stage.
