Totally false.  Just take your picture and either rotate the radius just a little,
or rotate the chord just a little.  The radius will still intersect the chord, but
it won't bisect it.

Could it be possible that you might possibly have mis-copied the question.

If you said that the radius intersects the chord and is perpendicular to it,
then the statement would be true.  Could that be the reason that the little
'corner' is marked in on the drawing ... to show that they're perpendicular ?

Given a soda can with a volume of 15 and a diameter of 2, what is the volume of a cone that fits perfectly inside the soda can?
Naddika [18.5K]
Check the picture below.

so, a cone, that fits inside the cylinder, will have the same height "h" and radius "r".  Thus

\bf \textit{volume of a cylinder}\\\\
V=\pi r^2 h\qquad \boxed{\pi r^2 h}=15
\\\\\\
\textit{volume of a cone}\\\\
V=\cfrac{\pi r^2 h}{3}\implies V=\cfrac{\boxed{15}}{3}

Consider a normal population with the mean of 40 and standard deviation of 10. A random sample of was selected: 39.2, 45.7, 27.4
Tems11 [23]

Answer:

\bar X = \frac{\sum_{i=1}^n X_i}{n}

And replacing we got:

\bar X= 38.91

And we can find the bias with this formula:

Bias= \bar X -\mu

And replacing we got:

Bias = 38.91 -40 = -1.09

Step-by-step explanation:

For this problem we know that the random variable of interest follows this distribution:

X \sim N(\mu =40, \sigma= 10)

And we have the following random sample given:

39.2, 45.7, 27.4, 25.9, 25.1, 46.3, 42.9, 49.0, 40.6, 47.0

And we can calculate the sample mean with the following formula:

\bar X = \frac{\sum_{i=1}^n X_i}{n}

And replacing we got:

\bar X= 38.91

And we can find the bias with this formula:

Bias= \bar X -\mu

And replacing we got:

Bias = 38.91 -40 = -1.09

Help pls need help show your solution and then graph
Stella [2.4K]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

We can use the quadratic formula or factor, This looks hard to factor so we should use the quadratic formula.

ax^2 + bx + c

so

a=4

b=-9

c=2

you can try it by hand or use this:

https://www.calculatorsoup.com/calculators/algebra/quadratic-formula-calculator.php

you get x=2 and x=0.25 these are the x intercepts (where Y is zero and where the graph crosses the x axis)

so mark x=2 and x=0.25 with a dot on a number line and you can draw a straight line between them since that is the part of the graph that is below the x axis (because the equation has <0) it is a positive parabola because the "a" value is positive and the presence of a "b" value means part of the graph will be below the x axis
