Answer: "Glasnost and Perestroika," the liberalization of a rigid communist system.

Explanation:

Reforms of the system called "Perestroika (Reorganization) and Glasnost (Public Information)" were introduced by Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev. With these principles, Gorbachev did not intend to cause the system to collapse but wanted to reform it from the top of the pyramid.Gorbachev allowed some communist countries to experiment with reforms but also warned about the importance of the party.

However, reforms have taken more and more momentum. Communism is a closed political system, and these reforms have just implied the opposite. Soon no communists will come to power in Poland after forty years. Communism in Europe was in huge trouble. Fundamental changes were necessary. Thus, Glasnost and Perestroika accelerated the collapse of the communist system in Europe.

Employment. According to Lesley Hall, an historian and research fellow at the Wellcome Library, “the biggest changes brought by the war were women moving into work, taking up jobs that men had left because they had been called up.” Between 1914 and 1918, an estimated two million women replaced men in employment.

Which positions did Britain's prime minister support at the Paris Peace Conference? Check all that apply.
Amanda [17]

Answer:

1. He wanted to preserve Britain's trading relationship with Germany.

2. He advocated for Germany's armed forces to be dismantled.

3. He believed treating Germany harshly would lead to future conflicts.

Explanation:

Following the end of World War I that lasted between 1914 to 1918. The positions of Britain's prime minister support at the Paris Peace Conference in 1919 were clear and concise.

His position can be summarily presented to be that:

1. He wanted to preserve Britain's trading relationship with Germany: one of the reasons behind this position is to ensure that Germany can pay for their reparations.

2. He advocated for Germany's armed forces to be dismantled: the reason behind this is to prevent future wars, revenge, or conflict from Germany.

3. He believed treating Germany harshly would lead to future conflicts.

These positions were evident when declared during the treaties among others that "We must not let any sense of revenge, any spirit of greed, any grasping desire override the fundamental principles of righteousness."
