Answer:

Explanation:

The process of formation of Oocytes is called Oogenesis. It id the equivalent of spermatogenis in males.it begins in the ovaries where the oocytes divides to form oogoinia by mitosis.

The oogonia under grows growth, and These cells undergo further divisions by meiosis, but the meiotic division is restricted to Prophase 1 of meiosis. These diploid cells are called primary Oocytes, and all further division from this stage remains till puberty in girls.

Answer:

Generally in Prophase 1 of meiosis of any dividing cells the following activities occurs:

1 The nuclear envelope breakdown

2. Bivalent forms and Crossing over of chromatids occurs

3,the nucleoli disappears.

Since the ovum stops at Prophase 1 to form primary oocyte during Oogenesis, therefore these are what occurs in ovum at the primary oocyte stage.

Ber [7]

The complete blood count or CBC is a pathological test, which measures the number of red blood cells (RBCs), white blood cells(WBCs), platelets and other vital compounds present in a definite amount of the blood.

The CBC allow detection of the presence of any ailment, which can affect the normal physiology of the blood.

Hence, the acronym for blood test that measures the number of RBCs, WBCs and platelets is CBC.

Two alleles of a given gene exist in a population: CTGT and TGTC. (Note: The codes given are only for the transcribed strand of
Vlad [161]

Explanation:

D. 6

There are two forms of the gene, CTGT and TGTC, called alleles. These have undergone 3 crossover events, which may create two separate copies.

Thus 2 × 3 (# of events)= 6 new alleles

The interchange of chromosome segments, including homologous non-sister or identical chromatids. Crossing over happens at chiasmata, where non-sister chromosomes are fused together.

Further Explanation:

DNA variants on chromosomes, may have different forms called alleles. DNA, which is a genotype, is transcribed into mRNA and then converted into amino acids that are linked together by rRNA to form proteins that make up the morphology of the individual.
