Part 1:

Let x represent orders of fries and y represent burgers, then the <span>system of equations that models the given situation is given by:

</span>4x+2y=14 \\ 3x+y=9
<span>

Part 2:

The graph of the two equations is attached.

From the graph it can be seen that the point of intersection of the lines representing the two equations is at point (2, 3), i.e. x = 2, y = 3.

Therefore, each order of fries costs $2 while each order of burger costs $3.

Part 3:

Using elimination, first we make the coefficients of y in both equations by multiplying the second equation by 2 and then subtracting the result from the first equation.

i.e.

equation (2) x 2 gives:
</span>
6x+2y=18.

Subtracting from equation (1), we have:

4x-6x=14-18 \\  \\ \Rightarrow-2x=-4 \\  \\ \Rightarrow x= \frac{-4}{-2} =2

Now, from the second equation,

y=9-3x \\  \\ =9-3(2) \\  \\ =9-6=3

Thus, x = 2 and y = 3.

Therefore, each order of fries costs $2 while each order of burger costs $3.

How can u find the slope of a equation
Tomtit [17]

Answer:

It is the rate of change (how far it goes up or how far it goes down)

Step-by-step explanation:

The slope of a line is a measure of how fast it is changing. This can be for a straight line -- where the slope tells you exactly how far up (positive slope) or down (negative slope) a line goes while it goes how far across. Slope can also be used for a line tangent to a curve. Or, it can be for a curved line when doing Calculus, where slope is also known as the "derivative" of a function. Either way, think of slope simply as the "rate of change" of a graph

Example: if you have a slope of 2 your equation would be y=2x+1

You would always do rise over run. rise over run means when you put your slope in a fraction the numerator would always go up or down and the denominator would be run and run means you would go left or right. it all depends on if it is positive or negative.

Hope this helps good luck @(^_^)@

$15,000 = P

Ameribank: 0.0105 = r, 1 = n, 1 = t. Plug our values in.

A = $15,000 (1 + (0.0105/1)^(1/1) = $15,157.5

Huffington: 0.0095 = r, 12 = n, 1 = t. Plug our values in.

A = $15,000 (1 + (0.0095/12))^(12/1) = $15,143.12

Sixth-Third: 0.01 = r, 52 = n, 1 = t. Plug our values in.

A = $15,000 (1 + (0.01/52)^(52/1) = $15,150.74

To maximize his profits, Tad should choose Ameribank.
