Option B

When you roll two number cubes, the odds in simplest form against getting two numbers greater than 3 is 1 : 4

<h3><u>Solution:</u></h3>

The probability of an event is given as:

\text {probability of an event }=\frac{\text { number of favorable outcomes }}{\text { total number of possible outcomes }}

Given that,

Tow number cubes are rolled

<em><u>To find: Probability of getting two numbers greater than 3</u></em>

On a number cube there are 6 numbers {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6} Out of which 3 numbers are greater than 3 {4, 5, 6}

So, total number of possible outcomes = 6

Favourable outcomes = number greater than 3 = 3

When you roll one number cube, probability of getting number greater than 3:

\text { Probability (number greater than } 3 \text { ) }=\frac{3}{6}

<em><u>When you roll two number cubes, probabilty is given as:</u></em>

\text { Probability (number greater than }3)= \frac{3}{6} \times \frac{3}{6}=\frac{1}{2} \times \frac{1}{2} = \frac{1}{4}

Probability = \frac{1}{4}

In ratio form we can write as 1 : 4

Option B is correct

Which number line represents the solution set for the inequality 2x - 62 6(x - 2) + 8?
antoniya [11.8K]

Answer:

2x - 6 ≥ 6(x-2) + 8

2x - 6 ≥ 6x - 12 + 8

6x - 2x ≤ - 6 + 4

4x ≤ -2

4x/4 ≤ -2/4

x ≤ -1/2

Interval Notation: (- ∞, -1/2]

The line starts from -1/2 with the arrow going to the left (decreasing). The endpoint or value from where it started, which is -1/2, should be shaded.  The inequality symbol x ≤ -1/2 represents the values at most or maximum -1/2.

I need help on this algebra
Gnesinka [82]
Since the population increases by 7 percent each year, we can multiply 850 by 1.07 seven times. In other words, we can do 850 • 1.07^7. This is equal to about 1365.

I need help with this question. I have no clue how to solve and don’t know how to put in calculator.
I am Lyosha [343]

Answer:

A

Step-by-step explanation:

We only need to calculate one of the functions shown. I will be using |x| - 1 because it is the simplist.

|x| makes a V shape and we know it only goes from -1 to 1. And that means it can be A or D. Next we apply the -1 so that it will go down. The only option that fits this is option A.
