"Fathers" especially, encourage in children what they perceive to be gender-appropriate behaviors, fostering more independence, competitiveness, and aggression in sons and more emotional expressiveness and gentleness in daughters".

Many studies have shown that most fathers do more talking to their daughters and when it comes to actions and other activities they engage more with their sons, similarly mothers get more confidential and talk about emotions and relations to the daughters than the sons which make daughters more emotionally expressive and gentle

Answer:

The answer is c. Id.

Explanation:

According to Freud, human personality is divided into three fundamental structures: the Id, the Ego and the Superego. The Id is the only structure present from birth, and is driven by the instincts and immediate pleasure. In infants, for example, it is responsible for thrist or hunger. These impulses must be regulated by the Ego, which provides more realistic and socially acceptable alternatives. In the example, Matthew has not yet developed full control of his Ego, so the Id dictates his behaviour.
