That's false.  If they share a congruent angle and the sides adjacent to it are
also congruent, then the triangles are also congruent.  In order for them to be
similar, all that's necessary besides the congruent angle is that each side
adjacent to it be in the <em>same ratio</em> between the two triangles.

nadya68 [22]

Answer:

The input value or independent variable is number of questions that you answer correctly on this quiz (variable x)

Step-by-step explanation:

Let

x ----> the number of questions that you answer correctly on this quiz

y ----> the total number of points you score on this quiz

In this problem

The output value or dependent variable is the total number of points you score on this quiz (variable y)

The input value or independent variable is number of questions that you answer correctly on this quiz (variable x)

we have

y=10x

This linear equation represent a proportional relationship between the variables x and y

where

k=10

K is the constant of proportionality or slope of the linear equation

X² - 6x + 4 = 0<br><br> solve and show work. ...?
ycow [4]
The answer is 3 + √5 and 3 - √5.

This is quadratic equation: x² - 6x + 4 = 0
The general quadratic equation is ax² + bx + c = 0
Our equation can be rewritten: 1x² + (-6)x + 4 = 0
So, in our equation we have: a = 1, b = -6, c = 4

Now, x can be calculated using the formula:x_{1,2}= \frac{-b+/- \sqrt{ b^{2}-4ac } }{2a}
x_{1,2} =\frac{-(-6)+/- \sqrt{ (-6)^{2}-4*1*4 } }{2*1} = \frac{6+/- \sqrt{36-16} }{2} = \frac{6+/- \sqrt{20} }{2} =\frac{6+/- \sqrt{4*5} }{2}=  \\ &#10;=\frac{6+/- \sqrt{4}* \sqrt{5}  }{2} =\frac{2*3+/- 2\sqrt{5}  }{2}= \frac{2(3+/- \sqrt{5}) }{2} =3+/- \sqrt{5}

From here:
x_{1} =3+ \sqrt{5}  \\ &#10;x_{2} =3- \sqrt{5}

A school is preparing fruit baskets for a local nursing home. There are 162 apples, 108 oranges, and 180 bananas. If the baskets
kari74 [83]

To solve this exercise, we must calculate the Maximum Common Divisor (M.C.D.), which is the greatest common divisor of 62,108 and 180. We apply factor decomposition, and we obtain:

 162= (3^4)(2)

 108= (2^2)(3^3)

 180= (2^2)(3^2)(5)

 We choose the common numbers with their lowest exponent:

 M.C.D.= (2)(3^2)

 M.C.D.= 2x9

 M.C.D.= 18

 The greatest number of baskets that can be made is: 18 baskets

 To know how many apples, oranges and bananas are in each basket, we must divide the greatest number of them that can be made between the total amount of apples, oranges and bananas, as shown below:

 162/18= 9 apples

 108/18= 6 oranges

 180/18= 10 bananas

 So, there are 9 apples, 6 oranges and 10 bananas in each basket.
