Answer: Some differences: oceanic is made up of basalt, continental is made up of granite. Continental is thicker, oceanic is thinner. Oceanic is denser than continental.

Some similarities: both types of crust lay atop the earth as mantle. Both move and shift. Both can be destroyed in subduction zones. Hopefully this was helpful :)
