The study of perception is primarily concerned with how we <u>interpret sensory stimuli. </u>

In psychology, perception deals with our identification and interpretation of sensory information. Perception also explores how we, as recipients, learn, memorize and form expectations based on our experience. For example, imagine that you touch fire. The stimuli that you felt when you touched fire is transmitted to your brain, which then processes it. What the brain does is that it now interprets 'fire' as dangerous, which, anytime you come across fire again, serves as a reminder that you should not touch it.

The type of nutrient to give off the most energy is fat.

Fat is one of three Macronutrients (those are nutrients that specifically provide energy, as opposed to other nutrients that provide vitamins and minerals): fat, carbohydrates and protein. It provides 9 calories per gram. Next one is ethanol (alcohol) with 7, but it's not a nutrient( or at least a non-essential one),  and then it's  carbohydrates and proteins.
