(x+3)^2 =4 y

That's a parabola, almost in vertex form:

y = \frac 1 4 (x+3)^2

The translation is

(x',y') = T_{(-7,2)} (x,y) = (x-7, y+2)

x= x'+7, y=y'-2

Substituting translates the graph. None of the choices have fractions so we substitute into the original form:

(x'+7+3)^2=4(y'-2)

We can drop the primes now and simplify,

(x+10)^2=4(y-2)

x^2 + 20 x + 100 = 4y -8

x^2 + 20 x - 4y + 108 = 0

Choice C.

This method generalizes nicely to rotations, reflections and other transformations.

It takes 2 bags of feed for each turkey every week.How many bags of feed do i need to fees 2 turkeys for a month?
Morgarella [4.7K]

it takes 2 bags for each turkey for a week

4 weak are there in a month

so for one turkey=4*2

                            =8

so for one turkey its 8 means

2 turkey=8+8

             =16

therefore it takes 16 bags for two turkey in a month

A wildlife service wanted to estimate the number of alligators in a river so they tagged 90 alligators and released them back in
lilavasa [31]
You can solve this with a proportion. If you know that 23 tagged alligators were in a 200 alligator sample, there are 90 tagged alligators in the entire river. Written otherwise:

23/200 = 90/x

and solve for x:

x = 782.608...

So the "best estimate" would be around 783 alligators. Hope that helps! If you liked this answer please rate it as brainliest!! thank you!!!

What is cosA for this triangle?<br><br> 48/55<br><br> 55/73<br><br> 55/48<br><br> 48/73
mash [69]

For this case we must indicate the cosine of A, of the figure shown. By definition:

Cosine (A) = \frac {Cateto\ adjacent\ to\ the \ angle} {hypotenuse}

Substituting the values we have:

Cosine (A) = \frac {48} {73}

So, we have to:

Cosine (A) = \frac {48} {73}

Option D
