Wes is influenced by representativeness bias

Further explanation

Often we assume the truth that is believed today is absolute, without questioning other possibilities and mistakes of our way of thinking. In some cases and conditions, our thoughts may be right or wrong, but maybe not completely.

Bias itself is a presentation of material that is filled with prejudice. It also means consistent errors in estimating value. There are many kinds of biases according to the psychological perspective including the following:

1. Confirmation bias

A person's tendency to look for evidence that is following his personal opinion without looking for evidence that negates it or is contradictory. Mistakes of this kind of thinking often occur to us.

2. In-group bias

In-group bias is the tendency for someone to assume the group is the best / right/absolute so that the perception that other groups are wrong is created.

3. Neglecting Probability Bias

Neglecting probability bias is our inability to properly understand the dangers and risks involved.

4. Status-quo bias

This bias is usually used in social, economic and political terms. The status-quo bias is the assumption that running something like now is more profitable than trying changes.

5. Negativity bias

Our tendency to focus more on negative information or experiences than on positive ones. When we experience good and bad experiences in one day at a time we will tend to talk about the calamity that we experience.

6. Representativeness bias

This bias is interpreted as our tendency to make decisions based on stereotypical thinking. The point is that someone will make a decision that is grounded in experience and also following the mental picture.
